The new Coleman Echelon Heat pumps heat air to a lot warmer temperature than old heat pumps (or some of our competator's models) so you stay more comfortable. Our new Coleman Heat Pumps are the QUIETEST ever made at just 63 decibels on low speed. You just hear the WhisperDrive fan sound outdoors. It won't bother you or the neighbors. And you can heat your house for as little as $40 per month! Air conditioning comes along for the ride with the installation of a new heat pump. Appraisal values add $15,000 or more to your home value. And Coleman could offer you up to $1500 Cash Back on your purchase. See our homepage for the details! Click on the link there.

Characteristic of Heat Pumps
HSPF Heating Seasonal Performance Factor
HSPF is an abbreviation for Heating Seasonal Performance Factor. It is the most commonly used measure of the heating efficiency of heat pumps. (The cooling efficiency of a heat pump is measured by its SEER.) Technically speaking, the HSPF is a heat pump's estimated seasonal heating output in BTUs divided by the amount of energy that it consumes in watt-hours.
The important takeaway from this definition is that the HSPF is a seasonal measure (meaning that it takes into account the fact that the heat pumps rarely for as long as is optimal during Spring and Fall). A heat pump with a high HSPF is more efficient than a heat pump with a low HSPF.
New heat pumps manufactured after 2005 are required to have an HSPF of at least 7.7. The most efficient heat pumps (our 18 seer) have an HSPF of 10. You save a lot of money, year after year.
